Christmas in July!

Join us for Christmas in July where all of our music on July 25th will be Christmas music. This year we'll again be providing that special time - celebrate with us! We also plan to take the opportunity to share some of our ministry resources with our listeners. Every day in July, sometime during the day, we'll be giving away a special ministry gift.

I wonder if you realize how much God has made available to you in teaching and encouragement in just this past month. I'm speaking mostly about what He has made available to you through your personal use of WCIF.

I know if you belong to a local fellowship what you hear at 106.3 is a reinforcement of what you hear each Sunday. I am speaking more specifically about the gift that God has given our area in allowing us to also hear from such great speakers/teachers/authors as Chuck Swindoll, Chip Ingram and others. Chip is finishing a series on "Good to Great In God's Eyes". Chuck concluded his series on "Laugh Again". Both speak of the practical victory God has designed into the Christian life and made available to us by faith in Jesus Christ. I have personally benefited from both of these topics because in addition to the radio messages these two great men have written books on the topics. I need the reinforcement of hearing and reading. It's like walking a new path, a few times makes the impression permanent.

What these two men have made available to us is repeated many times over since we have selected the finest broadcasters and given them the prime times of the listening day. The wonderful Christ honoring music becomes the setting for the shiny gems God designed for your use. That is how important I feel the messages that we receive each day are to us. With your help we freely give our community the opportunity to take in a healthy dose of God's principles through His Word.

Celebrating God's gift of His Son our Lord Jesus brings us some of our greatest joy. The only problem is that we have swept most of the celebration into a December corner. Some of our most victorious music and praises are wrapped up in Christmas titles. So this July WCIF is once again taking the wraps off our Christmas library and presenting Christmas in July. Each day expect to hear some familiar Christmas music, and you have permission to sing along. On the 25th of July the entire day will be dedicated to remembering Christ's birth, the angels announcement, the feelings of Joy that were evident to those who began to realize the significance of what was happening to change history. May they also be evident to us today.

Each day we plan to have special gift giveaways, but we promise you that the urge to go shopping is missing in this celebration. Plan to listen, sing along and get in on the gifts. Because of Jesus Christ we know we can be great in God's eyes and learn to laugh again!
